I had a great experience from start to finish when purchasing my new mini countryman. Ben Ray was particularly brilliant. He was super knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy.

Unfortunately through no fault of the York office I was unable to take delivery of my car as planned due to the BMW/Mini tax system being down. Obviously this was disappointing and inconvenient.

Ok, well let me summarise. The digital speedometer which was only replaced 30months ago failed and yet we still had to pay virtually the full cost of a replacement and this was after being told the unit was working properly.

I rang York Vertu on my landline using the York code. A gltch in the system resulted in me getting an appointment at BMW Durham. Why? BMW were less than helpful trying to sort things. However, York, were very helpful once I rang them.

All work done perfectly, on time and with explanation, but oh dear, the price!! Filters, plugs, etc are all readily accessible so why does it cost so much simply to swap in and out an old one and a new one?

After the service & MOT I was given a bundle of papers & informed there was an advisory for the MOT. When I got home I saw it was advised that I should have a front brake pad replaced. Although watching the video it said an light would come on ..
